Hi team, I am learning jira from the scratch, I have had created Product Backlog, Epics, Subtasks almost everything but my trial is about to end in 2 days. Is it possible to extend my trial for 1 more month so that I do not lose my instance?
Thanks,

Hi @Mehdi Syed
Good news — you won't lose your instance when the trial ends. Here's what will happen:
When your trial expires without adding a payment method, your site automatically downgrades to the Jira Cloud Free plan. All your existing data (Product Backlog, Epics, Subtasks, etc.) will remain intact and accessible.
What the Free plan includes:
Up to 10 users
2 GB of storage
Community Support
Core Jira features (boards, backlogs, workflows)
What you'll lose access to (compared to Standard/Premium trial):
Some advanced permissions and security features
Audit logs
Standard/Premium support
Some third-party app integrations
One important thing to keep in mind: Atlassian may deactivate Free plan sites due to prolonged inactivity. As long as you log in and interact with your site regularly (view a board, open an issue, etc.), your data is safe indefinitely. Just don't leave it completely untouched for extended periods.
So no extension is needed — just keep learning! Your site and data will be there for you on the Free plan.

Hope this helps!

Hi Mehdi Syed.
You shouldn't lose your Jira Cloud site just because the trial is ending.
If you don't subscribe to a paid plan, the site can move to the Free plan, subject to its limits and available features. Your existing Jira data should remain available, although some features from the paid plan may no longer be available.
So, if you're only using the trial to learn Jira, you shouldn't need to request an extension just to keep the instance.
