Hi, I selected IT Support but I needed to select Software Development. How do I change it?

The easiest way is to create a software development project and move the issues from the IT support project to it via a bulk move.  See the documentation here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/change-an-issue-s-project-or-issue-type-using-the-move-feature-1283493350.html

Hi Cortni - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Unfortunately you cannot change the type of project once it has been created. You would need to create a brand new project of the type you want and the migrate any existing issues.
