Hi, I’m trying to delete my Atlassian account but I’m blocked because it says I’m the last billing admin with active entitlements.

However, I don’t have permission to access or delete the site (I get a “request access from your administrator” message), so I’m unable to resolve the issue myself.

Could you please remove the billing admin restriction or delete the associated site/entitlements so I can proceed with deleting my account?

Thanks.

Hi @oranos dawar

This happens because Atlassian requires every site to have at least one billing admin, so if you’re the last one with that role, your account can’t be deleted while active subscriptions still exist. Since you don’t have access to the site, you’ll need to contact another org/site admin to either transfer the billing admin role to someone else or cancel the subscriptions.

Check this doc.
https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-cloud/kb/deleting-your-atlassian-account-when-you-are-the-billing-or-technical-contact/

Do you know any other org admins for that site?

Hello @oranos dawar

Deleting your account and deleting your organization are two different things:

To be able to delete your organization, you have to be an org admin. Billing admin and the org admin are not the same thing.
