Hi, I am trying to set Jira to read-only mode so users cannot create new projects or edit.

I know we can set permission scheme for each project to read only. but i would like to set it at Jira global level. is there any easy way to do this?

Hi @Kannan Sundaresan ,

There is no easy way to change all permissions scheme to read-only (and then return them back to what they were)

You can use a plugin that blocks users from using Jira, for example:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1222348/maintenance-mode?hosting=server&tab=overview

Thanks. Actually we want the users to be able to view existing projects but nor able to update anything. Is it possible to do this with the plug in?
