Help configuring new Jira Kanban Board.

I spun up a new project, and I can't get it to work correctly. I am not new to jira, but this is the first project I created myself. It's a team managed project, Kanban type. The issue I am having is that the Epic won't go into the swim lane (, and I can't find how to add the Epic Link field so I can attach issues to the Epic.

At the top there is a search field, next to that a person icon, next to that add people icon, then there's an Epic dropdown filter. My first epic appears in this dropdown, but it is not in the swimlane.

And for the swimlane alternative, you can use the "Group By" option and select "Epic" there.

Hi @Brenda Strong

Epic Link field is not available in Team Managed projects. Those are used only in Company Managed projects.

To add a task to an Epic in Team Managed projects through the UI you need to create the task, and then you can click on the "Add epic" link in the breadcrumbs for the new issue.
