Help changing an advanced query for my board

I have created a Kanban board in Jira that shows epics, tasks, and subtasks from two different projects. I want to change it to only show epics and tasks. However, when I go to Board Settings, click Edit Filter Query, and then change the query, there isn't a save button for what I changed and when I go back out of it, the change doesn't save. What am I doing wrong?

Hello @deseymour

Are you the owner of or do you have Editor permissions for the filter?

After you change a saved filter you must execute the filter.  Example:

1. When I first open the filter there is no Save option.

2. I make a change to the filter (added the "order by" clause). Still no Save option.

3. I click the search/magnifying glass button to execute the modified filter. Viola! The Save filter option appears to the right of the JQL fields.

Oh my gosh! I didn't realize it was that easy. I thought that was some kind of search button.

Thank you so much!!
