Hi @Marlene Ngu

Can you clarify what you mean by "proceed to create Epic"?

Epic and Sprint creation is separate natively.

-----------------

Epic:

To create an Epic, this will need to be an issue type available in your project. Both Scrum Next-Gen and Classic project templates have Epics as an issue type by default.

There's a few options to create an Epic, but one option which works for both types is:

  1. In Jira, select the blue "Create" button on the navigation bar
  2. Select Epic from the "Issue Type" field
  3. Populate the needed fields then press "Create"

-----------------

Sprint:

To create a Sprint, you'll need the appropriate "Manage Sprints" permissions. Again, both Next-Gen and Classic projects should have the right permissions by default (unless they've been modified).

Then to create a sprint:

  1. Go to your project. Your board settings should be in the left-hand menu
  2. Select "Backlog" from the menu.
  3. In the upper-right corner, press the grey "Create Sprint" button

-----------------

If either of these options are missing or you're not able to select them, let us know the issue along with if this is a Next-Gen or Classic Project!
