Having trouble connecting confluence with JIRA server

Andrew Chung
September 19, 2019

I currently run JIRA server version 8.3. I am trying out the confluence demo but am getting an error. I am getting the following error: "Connection refused. Check if an instance of Jira 4.3 or later is running on the given url."

I tried using the following urls: http://hostname:8080/jira

I also tried using what i normally use to start jira:http://localhost:8080/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=1&projectKey=EV&view=planning.nodetail&issueLimit=100

Both urls failed. Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong?

You need to use base url's for linking applications not the one with board.

You seem to new to jira. Post your versions of confluence and jira. How did you download? Did you download latest versions?
