Having an issue with cloning automation.

Here is the scenario, I have an internal company-managed board and want to create several team-managed boards for clients. That client board if for them to create tickets and see how are they moving in the kanban board. Then all of those separate requests can be managed in a bigger production board.

What I want to do is for each new ticket created, clone it to the internal board. I created the automation but can't seem to make it work. The log says "Action detail - Clone issue: Can not create issue in project/issue type". Been searching and tinkering with permissions but can't make it work.

Does anyone know what could be going on?

Also, (I'm getting ahead here) after this setup I want to replicate client comments that are in the original ticket on the cloned ticket. Is there a way to do that?

Welcome to the Community!!

Can you change the Actor to yourself and check once if the issue is being created?

Also, look at the data you are copying while cloning the issue, make sure the fields match.

- Regarding the fields, the next-project covers the same fields that we have in the Company-Managed project.

- The automation worked perfectly running in the same project (company-managed), being a ticket created and cloned in the same project. When I want to create a ticket in the next-gen project board to clone it to the other project board this is what the log error shows:

That's why I think is something related to permissions. In the permission schemes, "atlassian-addons-project-access" has access everywhere. So I'm wondering what could be going on.

I also thought it could be the scope but tested it in multiple ways and nothing.Screen Shot 2022-02-01 at 9.56.13 PM.png

Hope I can find a solution for this.

Cloning into Team Managed project is not possible as of now

Please feel free to vote on a feature request here

You can clone the issue to company managed project

Hi @Pramodh M I want to clone a single ticket from a Team-Managed Project to a Company-Managed Project. What I understood with the shared ticket it's for a project configuration can be cloned, right? I need something else. Or is the thing I am asking in there?
