Have customfield inherrit from mother task?

Hi

I am trying to setup a workflow where I will use a new customfield to hold values on whether a feature is local og global. This value is set on epics or user stories to facilitate prioritaization. However, I am facing one big issue:

If I set a user story to be global and I create sub tasks in the user story, I cannot get the field to inherrit the value from the mother story.

Is this possible to do? I am using OnDemand.
