I have a pretty standard Jira deployment all using next gen projects. We have lots of projects, and many do not have active sprints in progress. We use category to define our customer so we can group by customer. I can't find a way I could group active and inactive projects beyond this, to easily reduce my project dashboard to just active projects. Any ideas?

Hello Eden,

Thank you for getting in touch with Atlassian Community!
Currently, it's not possible to hide or archive projects, so if the user has access, they will be able to see it on the project list. We have a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:
Please, click on vote and watch in order to hear about updates on the development cycle.

Regards,
Angélica

Gotcha, I'm not worried about users having access, I would just like to filter by "active" or have some way beyond group to filter projects, not possible?

The browse projects page is not customizable. There are some features suggesting some enhancements for the page, and there was an old feature that was closed as "Won't do".
