HIGH LEVEL EPICS

I would like a high level categorisation of for different work streams which epics can be assigned to across  multiple jira projects/teams in order to categorise the work each team are doing towards a top level vision . Currently we have different epics within different projects but I want something all teams can also then assign some work to as user stories/epics.

Hi @Zainab Fasoro , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your post.

I have understood you are saying you want another level in the work object hierarchy above Epics which are also transversal / encompassing more projects. 

You could, if you have Jira at the Premium tier, create another work object type that is above the Epic in the hierarchy. That object, whatever you call it, can have children which are Epics. Is this what you meant / are trying to achieve?

Are you using a SAFe framework by any chance? It sounds like you might be working on release trains.
