How do I get to attachments for a story QUICKLY...

Just for a better understanding of the issue, you are facing, help us understand more into what you're asking.
What type of project you are using? Is it classic or next-gen?
What is the affected screen? Is it the create, view or edit?
Usually, for next-gen the field attachment is one of the default fields.
If it's a classic project, you need to check the screen scheme by going to Project settings > Screens and check if the field was added on each one.
