Is there an article for jira service desk customers?

Not specifically.  The general idea is that the request interface is so simple, they don't need guidance - they click on the request type they want to raise, fill in the form and look at it when there are updates.   I don't think any guide would be very long as I've just covered most of it in one sentence.
