Hi Team

We have a requirement to grant JIRA software access to external domain ID. Those users should not gain access to any of our internal tickets/ projects.

Do we have any specific group or roles to assign to external IDs? Or how to deal with this requirement.

Please suggest as early as possible.

Regards

Venu

Hi @Capillary AccessControl  - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Access is granted to projects (and their issues) by way of the Permission Scheme attached to each project. And then specifically, the Browse Project permission inside the scheme.

So you can create an external user as normal, but then put them in a project role on each project that does not have the Browse Project permission.

You might have to change the current Browse Project permission to exclude jira-users group or a project role that grants permission to the entire user base.
