I know that question has probably been asked and answered a lot, but I cannot find a way to implement this. The answers often talk about roles (there is no such thing in Jira that I can see) and the screenshot often don't even look like what I have access to.
I need a simple solution, or at least baby-step instructions, as I am new to Jira.
I have the 10$ monthly subscription, if that can be of any help answering this.
Thank you!
Michel
Pls follow this instructions.
1. From your project's sidebar, select Project settings > People.
2. Select Add people
3. Search for the user name. You can add multiple people and groups, and delete those you have accidentally added in this dialog.
4. Select the Administrators role or any other role to assign and select Add

I accepted the answer too fast. This is really complicated and Jira is probably overkill for my needs. Trello would be aplenty. Cancelling Jira subscription.

Michel, I will completely agree on Your choice and needs but Jira have it own use cases which allows the business to utilized based on their needs which are not possible through Trello.

I understand that, we used Jira on previous projects, but I was only updating tickets, not managing project permissions. I find it a little tedious.
Is there a permission scheme simpler than the default one? It is tedious updating permission one by one
