Getting an error while starting a sprint. Says a sprint is already open and cannot open it;

I have only 15 issue in the sprint; but when i try to open it , it says there are 33 issues and unable to start the sprint

The error is " You can't start this sprint because one of the sprints is already active. You can only have one active sprint at a time."

Yes, you will need to end the current sprint first. Go to the backlog to see it near the top of the list of issues.

I closed all my previous sprint and i do not see anything in active sprints.
