Hello,
I am trying to automate the change in due date of the sub-task by the same amount that was changed in Parent Task. Let's say Parent's Due Date is 25th Aug and Subtask Due Date is 12th May, If Parents Due Date is changed to 22nd Aug I want the Subtask Due Date to change the same number of days and get changed to 9th May. Can we achieve this using Smart Values in Automation. If so, Can anyone send me a step by step process of how to achieve this.
Thanks so much.
Hi @asamala -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
For a question like this, I recommend you first try building the rule yourself, and if you get stuck/have problems, to then post your rule and what you observe. Doing this will ensure you understand your rules and are better able to maintain them.
To check on the from/to values of a field, please try using the changelog smart value. With that you could perform a diff on the values. Please look here for more information: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/smart-values-general/#Smartvaluesgeneral---changelog--
And for more information to get you started writing your rule, please look at this documentation and template example library:
Best regards,

I know you solved your issue looong time ago, but would it be possible to share how you did it? I'm having exactly the same problem here.
Thanks!
