Hello,

For now in Jira we have only one user directory - Internal Directory. And our goal to move to Delegated LDAP directory, so users could authenticate against our corporate Active Directory.

So login names in two directories are the same. But in my test, after creating the Delegated LDAP and puting in first in order, user login failed.

For example, we have user 'lastnamenn' in Internal Directory and same user name in Active Directory (LastnameNN to be precise) and after that user try to login in Jira with Delegeated LDAP, sysem just create new user in this new directory but not copy his group membership and all the rights. It thinks it's new user, although there is already exist user in with same login in Internal Directory.

Could anybody help with that? It's very urgent question for usit .

Why Jira doesn't copy user from Internal dir to Delegated LDAP (internal with LDAP) when user login, althought user names are the same.

(in ldap starts with capital LastnameNN, but lower user name are the same, right?)
