Forms to pre-populate a project card

agrtechnology

Hi there, Recently switched to Jira for project management and wondering if it's possible to setup a form which I can get a link for and share with clients to capture initial project requirements with preset questions and options to upload files and mention other comments etc and then automatically put this into card for the  specific project. Any help with this would be really appreciated and if possible would be a huge timesaver.

Hi @agrtechnology and welcome to the community,

If your client doesn't have a JWM license, then you can't really share anything from JWM in order to capture information. If they do have a license, you either let them inside the project or you can use forms to capture the necessary information https://support.atlassian.com/jira-work-management/docs/collect-information-for-your-team-with-a-form/.

Hey @agrtechnology

The simplest approach here would just be to setup your jira issues for the relevant projects so that the fields are the form you want their information inputted into - just configure the create screen fields to contain the questions and options you want.

You could also explore Jira Product Discovery's ideation functions for a slick solution: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/product-discovery

Thank you will give that a go!
