Formatting of Jira tickets imported by CSV incorrect.

When importing tickets by CSV it seems any markup I use is incorrect, more specifically the headers.

E.g. if I import with a description of 

"### this is my h3 title
stuff
"

Then the ticket description shows:

1.

    a. 

        i. this is my h3 title.

It then messes up all bullet points. What is the correct way to do it?

Hi John, unfortunately that did not help. The Map Field Value for the description field was unchecked. However it was checked for the ticket type field to set it to a story. Should I untick all fields to not have map field value?

Tried again where I had no fields with map field value ticked. The problem persists.

No, it would just be that one field. Since that didn't work, you need to open a support ticket with Atlassian to see if they can help with it.
