Flagged feature is NOT working

Hi, we have recently started using JIRA (Core cloud version) within our organization and have created a template for our projects. I do see the flagged field on the create/edit/view screens of my template but I am not able to see/use this feature when I am actually work on my project/s. Any suggestion?

Hi @Monika Jaisingh 

I don't have Core, I use Jira Software, but I'm fairly certain that the Flagged function works the same way.

Without opening an issue, if you right click on a specific issue on the board a pop-up menu appears which has Add flag or Remove flag, because this is a toggle state.

With an issue open, if you click on the 3 dots in the top right hand corner, you should have the same 2 options available.

Yes, I do understand the way I can access the flag option and use it. I have used this feature in past in other organizations. But for some reason I don't see that option. Please see the screenshot. Additionally, I just checked the Issue Layout and I don't see the flagged field here and its neither under hidden fields. Please advise.
