First Certificate form JIRA

Hello everyone,

I have an interview by the end of next week and the client liked my resume however, he has a request!

He needs me to be familiar with JIRA in general and the measurement for his decision is to be certificated or has experience and I was transparent with him when I said I did not use it before but I have more than 3 years experience with Trello.

Now, the end story is he needs me to get a badge or to be certified with JIRA and I would like to ask you what is the basic certificate that I can earn it ASAP and if there is something like this, does require to attend an in-person training or is there online material to pass the exam.

There are courses as part of the package, all on-line, but you will need to attend a proctored exam.

However, a couple of points

• When the exams were first written, the question writers were told to level them at experienced admins who had been looking after a Jira system for around two years.  Not beginners.
• The course materials are not aimed at teaching you Jira, they are for making sure your experience and understanding are fully rounded.  You can't replace proper training and experience just by doing these prep courses.

So, I would strongly recommend you don't bother with the exams for now, start by learning Jira - Atlassian university is designed to help you there, see  https://www.atlassian.com/university (also, some partners do training, often bespoke, so built to suit you)
