Find issues entered by a user who is no longer active. I have the login name and the user name

when I search a project for a specific issue number that I know this user entered I find the user name and logon name.  But I need to search to find all other issues this user entered.  Using "Name" does not work.

Can I use the logon name?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You can use the Issue Navigator to select the project and add the "Reporter" field to the search and filter for issues where the user is set as the reporter. 

If the user is already deleted and the "Reporter" field only shows "Former user" or similar, please let me know and I'll try to find another approach.

The problem is that the filter dropdown has a "search" field.  Typing the name of an inactive user into the "search" field yields no results.
