How can I filter a velocity report to only show specific sprints?
Hi @jnolan,
The Jira's Velocity report shows a limited number of sprints (up to 7) and is limited when its about filtering the sprints to be displayed.
My advice is to search on Atlassian Marketplace for an app/plugin that is capable to display more sprints and allows sprints filtering.
If you decide to use an app, our Great Gadgets app can be a good option because it includes a Team Velocity gadget that:
1. can display any past sprints (no limit)
2. allows filtering the sprints by name
3. allows filtering the sprints by completion date (time range)
The gadget is highly configurable, provides many advanced metrics/numbers, and can display a Data tab with a detailed report about each sprint.
Danut.

Welcome to the community !!
As an alternative, to track resource / sprint velocity as a dashboard gadget, I can recommend our app. The app comes with couple of gadgets to track team member's velocity in a sprint and also a complete sprint status overview. The app shows data upto 15 sprints.

Hi @jnolan
The built-in velocity report does not have filtering. It shows the 7 most recent sprints: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/view-and-understand-the-velocity-chart/
What problem are you trying to solve by filtering the velocity report? That is, why do this? Knowing that may help the community to offer better suggestions.
Kind regards,
Bill

Hi! I have a similar problem - we need to be able to filter velocity chart, as it adds other team sprints to our report, if someone adds incorrect sprint value for a task (for example, adds our task to other team's sprint).
Those other sprints have 0 SP in our report, since we correct the sprint value in the task, when we see it, but still, for some reason, those sprints stay in the report.

Hi @Andrejs Uibo -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
There is no built-in filtering like that for the velocity chart report. You would need a marketplace app for such features.
As a workaround...
If your teams' have uniquely named sprints (e.g., Blue Team Sprint 23), the board filters could be adjusted to never show issues in another other team's sprints...and the board filter is what impacts the reports.
Kind regards,
Bill
