Filter to determine how many issues are opened and closed each month

I am trying to create a filter to search all of our Projects and tell me how many issues were created and closed each month.

As I imagine you don't want to be manually creating a new filter each month with hardcoded dates, perhaps this could help:

Get all issues created in the previous month:

created >= startOfMonth(-1) and created < startOfMonth() ORDER BY created ASC

Get all issues resolved in the previous month:

resolved >= startOfMonth(-1) and resolved < startOfMonth() ORDER BY resolved ASC
