Field modified validator error

I have a custom field which I want to have set (in 5 different projects) when the issue is transitioned to DONE. I left the default value of the (dropdown) field as NONE because I want to ensure that the field is intentionally set to one of the other two options.

I created a transition screen and added it to the workflow of the appropriate projects. I then added a Field has been modified Validator on the DONE transition.

But now when I try to create an issue, in a project with an unrelated workflow, I get an error message saying the field is required.

While transition the status to Done you have set Field "Field has been Modified Validator" so if the transition happen to Done status you are getting error as iam right and also can you check whether that field is empty or not

For Example

• if You have a custom field "Priority" with a default value of "None".
• You want to ensure the user changes the priority before moving the issue to the "Done" status.
• Add the "Field has been modified" validator to the transition from "In Progress" to "Done".
• Ensure the "Priority" field is displayed on the screen for that transition.
• If the user doesn't change the priority, the validator will trigger an error, preventing the transition

While creating the issue if you are getting Field required error ,then check the field configuration of that particular issuetype whether the field you have kept as Mandatory or not.
