Field Missing in Tasks but Present in Bugs

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
Recently the field 'fix version' is no longer visible in 'Tasks', yet it's still there in 'Bugs'. We use this field to link tasks to a release. Until last week it was there, now it has all but dissappeared.
I've checked in the sidebar in the settings, but I can't find what I'm doing wrong
