Fedora 32 on FireFox 80.0 required to log in again for each submit type action

Deleted user September 30, 2020

Your kind advise,

Using Fedora 32 OS, and FireFox 80.0, being prompted to log in again each time for each submit type action on Jira, unable to save actions and work is interrupted, is this issue known?

Any suggestions on how to resolve?

(FireFox is the supported browser for our organization, so if I can I'd stay on that)

Thanks a bunch for your kind help.

Hi Hana,

is this literally only happening with the mentioned Firefox installation on this specific device or, for example, do your co-workers experience the same issue?

I am just asking for a possible pinpoint of the root cause. If it is specific to a single device I'd start by looking if browser addons interfere with your experience.

If it applies to all users there might be a setting on your Jira host wrong. First steps would inquire looking into logfiles or even at session handling.
The latter depends on your specific configuration.

Apart from that to say more about the circumstances it might be needed that you explain your setup a bit further. Other Community members are then more likely being able to help.

Cheers,
Daniel

Thanks so much for your kind reply, the issue had been reported by a single user, and DNS flush I think had resolved that for him or changing browser, I have looked at the session handling advice and saw the warnings that these stapes are no supported and caution should be taken, but if I see more reports this reply will be used,

Thanks again.
