Feature Request: Add a way to define spaces/projects access for members of a group

It would be nice to be able to define space/project access for groups, not just product access. With this we can onboard groups of contractors or consultants to work on projects then quickly remove them when their work is done.

Hi @Philip Shramko ,

Thanks for using the Community. I think you can already do this. You can assign groups to various permissions within your Space Permission scheme. Any user within the group would be granted that permission.

Is that what you are looking to do?

Yes you can achieve the same. You can use permission schemes and under Browse project permission, add the group to which you want to give access

If you're looking to automate this workflow, Automation Action Bundle for Jira can help. I work for the company that built this app. It adds custom actions to Jira's native automation engine, including "Add Users to Groups" and "Remove Users from Groups" actions that let you automatically manage group membership based on triggers you define. You could set up rules that add contractors to specific groups when they're assigned to a project and remove them when their work is marked complete, making the onboarding and offboarding process much faster.
