Failed to reset password

Hi ,

I have jira software installed on my local Mac book pro . I have forgotten the password to  access it .I tried resetting it through email but it won't go through .I tried recovery method defined here in the confluence page ,but it also doesnt seem like working . I need help with reseting the password .I have projects saved here which I cannot lose .

Please help me .

Welcome to the community!

If you are using Jira 6.4 or later follow steps here: Restore Passwords To Recover Admin User Rights.

With this you would be able to Log in to Jira with the username recovery_admin and the temporary password you specified in the system property.
