Failed logins

Hi All, 

We have a problem with our Confluence installation. Users are able to login using their AD credentials, but quite often they are not being logged in even though they provide correct credentials. They have to try 2-3 times, which is very confusing for everyone, because they think they enter wrong password, or wrong format in the login field, when in fact they enter everything correctly. 

Do you have any idea what this could be? I am new to Confluence, it was managed by someone else before.

Can you check the Confluence logs and see if there are any errors when the login fails?

Also, does it happen when the cache is cleared in the browser? You might be running into this issue? This can happen for JIRA, Confluence etc
