Exporting query results issue

I have a saved query. The query works correctly and I can export the results to excel and get exactly what is on the screen.

If I change the query and run it with out saving it, I get the correct results on the screen. When I try to export it to excel, I do not get the same columns. 

How do export a query that was modified and not saved to export to excel correctly.

The behavior you are describing is simply how the built-in export works. You actually have to save the column config to take effect in the context of exports.

If you are open to alternatives, the Better Excel Exporter app picks up the changed column configuration immediately.
