Exporting Data from a Cascading Dropdown Field

Tzeni Zoupani
March 26, 2025

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is possible, but I thought I'd give it a shot!

I've created a form that includes a cascading dropdown field. Is there a way to download the data I've entered into this field? (I’m not referring to exporting a file with the tickets that people have raised so far.)

Many thanks.

Hey @Tzeni Zoupani

The data entered via forms is indeed stored under the issues created via those entries. So the only way to export that info is to include that as a column in your issue search, and export it to CSV.

I believe we don't have another way to export the data entered into the field via forms.

If you're referring to all the Parent and child values available for this field (under custom field configuration), we don't have a way to export them via UI.

However, this API should help: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/api-group-issue-custom-field-options/#api-rest-api-3-customfieldoption-id-get

Thanks!
