Exception error when modifying story in Jira

Hi All-

We are using Jira 5.0.6 and GH 6.1.2. The problem we are facing is

• Clicking on Edit button of Story to modify it
• Adding a label ( say xyz) to the Theme field which is of type label
• Clicking on Update button - Getting error "java.lang.NullPointerException"

To my surprise I was able to add label (say xyz) to the Theme field by clicking on the Pencil icon on the issue screen.

Note:- We are not using any custom fields of type "Cascading Select"

Please help in getting rid of this exception.

Resolved it by removing the Anonymous(Ex-employee of company) user from the watcher list.

Can you show us the log files with the stack trace? Kinda hard to troubleshoot without them.
