Hi Team,
I'm encountering a formatting issue when copying colored text (e.g., user stories) from Confluence or Word into Jira. Instead of displaying the text in the intended color, Jira shows the following error under each line:
color: Color value is invalid
This issue started a few days ago. Previously, copying colored text worked without any problems.
I’ve tested this across multiple browsers—Firefox, Edge, and Chrome—and observed the following behavior:
When copying from Confluence in edit mode, Jira inserts design tokens like var(--ds-icon-accent-blue,#1d7afc)
, which seem to trigger the error.
When copying from a published Confluence page (view mode), the color formatting is stripped entirely.
The issue persists regardless of browser.
Could you please advise on how to resolve this
Hi @503418090 ,
Can't say I've seen this personally but you might want to check out the following JAC ticket which I believe is related to what you're experiencing: JSDSERVER-4269: Do not display non-functional errors of mail parsing in description (there's a linked one for cloud platform as well)
Maybe there are some workarounds in the ticket description or comments you could potentially try out. 👀
Cheers,
Tobi
