I created an automation to close the parent when all the sub-tasks are closed. It appears to work, but I get an error each time. I have attached screenshots of the automation and also the error. Anyone have any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
Hello, Good day. From this error resolution field is not getting updated through automation. Make sure the resolution field is added to the screen. Instead of automation when you manually move the work item to complete do you see "Resolution"?
Figured out what you meant. It says Not Resolved...I tried adding a post function to the end transition where it moves to Complete, but that didn't help either. Here's a screenshot of the workflow.

Please go to project settings >> work items >> screens, and make sure resolution field is added to all the screens. Thanks!

Hello,
Welcome to community :)
The error message "The fields set during transition aren't available. Fields ignored:" in Jira Automation indicates that the fields you are attempting to modify during a workflow transition are not accessible.
Please check this article : https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-questions/Resolution-field-not-available-to-update-during-transition/qaq-p/1958675 which talks about the similar error that you are facing
Thank You,
Prachi

I'm not sure I understand that article. The field that has the status of Complete is called Status, so I don't understand what Resolution is. The workflow is supposed to close (or set status to complete) the task when all the subtasks have a status of Complete. But I don't see a field called Status in the list of fields. Maybe I'm just completely lost...
