Error - You have to define which CSV column maps to Issue Type if you want to import parents.

Hi, I'm unable to import all work to JIRA with CVS import. I have all the issue types, work type, epic, everything in CVS, but I'm running into problems where I get this error all the time. And however I try to change, reformat CVS file, I'm still not able to import all the work into JIRA so I can start working on it. Could you please tell me what is the problem? I tried to create issue type, but nothing worked. I always get this error.

Hi!

If you want to import parent/childs, you need to map them in the wizard.

Here is a good explanation on how to create the CSV with those fields:

Hello @Anton Dey

Once you upload the CSV, you need to map the columns in the CSV to the scheme on the project side.

There are checkboxes that you need to check.

Keep in mind, that key and summary are mandatory from every CSV import.

Hope that helps,

if not, please share some screen shots of what you are doing.

Ariel.
