Epics display on the Confluence page

Hello all,

We have assigned the Security level to Epics so only several people could see them as we store there sensitive information about rates and payments. 

However, we are trying to display epic names on the Confluence page, so everyone could see them in the list (epics are used as sub-projects and we want to inform everyone about them).

Is it possible to display Epic names (with the link), their statuses, and assignees on Confluence without letting unauthorized users access those Epics through the links?

Or is it possible to hide the content of the Epic and leave only the name visible?

To be blunt no you can't. You can either see or not see the Epic.

Alternative

So if you store sensitive data in it, you might want to create a shadow project where you only have one issue type e.g. 'shadow-epic' which follow the same status and which only has the description of the epic as fields (or maybe some other fields if that is important (but not hold sensitive data).

With Automation for Jira you can automatically create/update/transition these shadow-epics when the sensitive epics are created/updated/transitioned. These shadow-epics can be shown in Confluence.
