For some of our projects, a Kanban-based delivery approach makes more sense that a sprint/iteration-driven one, hence we are using Kanban boards for those.
However, I don't seem to be able to get the Epic progress bar in the Backlog view the way I can with a Scrum board. I can see the stats on the Stories associated with an Epic but not the progress bar itself.
Assuming this is by design, was the rationale that the Kanban board was not expected to be used for temporary initiative (e.g. products) but was intended more for long-lived products or service delivery?
