Hey ya'll!
Previously, I recognized that Epics used to appear automatically on Cards and that they had colors. Recently, I started a new Jira project on my own, and I had to add Epics to the Card View... but they don't have colors!
This is a company-managed project in Kanban. The actual epics DO show to have colors when I go and investigate them, and if I go to the direct Issue View the color shows there. But it isn't showing on my backlog...
Any solutions?
Hi @Smoresies
I assume that "Rewrite Base Battle System" is the Epic you want to show (with colors)
Check that your board filter includes the Parent issue type (Epics) If they are not included in the JQL they will not show on the board.
It looks like you have added 'Parent' in the Board settings -> Layout -> Card layout
In the screnshot below I have included Epics in the board filter AND added the 'Parent' to the card layout so you can see the difference.
This was is! Thank you!
Do you know if this is User-specific or is there a way for me to make this default for the team to view?

This video didn't show me anything helpful... It talked about a bunch in that minute but didn't actually show any of the actions they were talking about.
Plus the question is not about changing the color of an epic. I can do that. They aren't showing on my cards no matter what color they have.
