Epic not shown in board when grouping by epic

I have many epics. Each of them has many tasks as children. When I view my board for the projects, and group by epic, I see very few of these epics. And example epic:

How can I get these epics and their subtasks displayed on the board.

Can you share the filter of your board? I suspect you are filtering out some issues. 

Also, what are you filtering the swimlanes by?

Hi Fabian, apologies for the delay, I was sure I had answered this already, guess it got lost.

As far as the filter goes, I don't thik I have any filter applied to the board. I have clicked on "Clear Filters" on the board view and the problem persists.

Can filters be applied in another way?

I should point out, in my original post I included a picture of the board of a different project, rectified in the image I just posted above.
