Epic Link empty for new agility projects

I created a new agility project, added two epics and created several stories under the first epic (figure 1). I am not able to write a JQL query to filter on stories only belonging to the first epic because the epic link field for all new stories is empty (figure 2).

This certainly seems odd. So if you use "Epic Link" = WOR-7 nothing is returned?

Correct, nothing returns.

no-search-results.pngI noticed that the epic is marked "unlabelled" in the JQL intellisense, would that matter?

Epic Link isn't currently supported in Next-Gen. There is an open issue for this - JSWCLOUD-17239
