Hello everyone,

I've discovered that I really enjoy recording videos, talking about Forge, sharing Atlassian news, and covering interesting things happening in the ecosystem. I've been posting them on LinkedIn, and it's become a genuinely fun part of my journey that I'd love to grow.

So I have a few questions for the community:

First, does anyone here create similar content? If so, I'd love to hear your advice and learn from your experience.

Second, do you have ideas for video topics I could cover around Forge or Atlassian in general? I'm always looking for fresh, interesting angles.

And finally, a practical one: for content posted on LinkedIn, should videos always be kept short, or is there room for longer, more detailed ones too? I'd love to know what works best.

Any tips, ideas, or experiences would mean a lot. Thank you so much in advance 😁

Hi, @Said Bennaceur

I don't personally make Atlassian content for LinkedIn, but I have been part of some of our marketing campaigns, and for LinkedIn, shorter videos (<1m 30s) seem to perform best. There are a lot of people in the community who make longer format videos on YouTube and webinar platforms, though. You could always cross promote videos from another platform on LinkedIn.

As for content, I'd follow the Release Notes and unanswered questions in Q&A to find good bite-sized topics - there's a boatload of material just in the release notes lately!

Thank you so much, Anne, this is really helpful  and I love the idea of cross-promoting from YouTube. Following the Release Notes and Q&A for topics is a great tip too. Really appreciate you taking the time

Thank you so much 😁 , I actually took your advice and posted a video yesterday, I'd be really happy if you checked it out on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/said-ben-naceur-335a2a378_atlassianforge-atlassian-jira-ugcPost-7480263074999037952-I_cP

And guess what? I also posted it on YouTube last night, and it already has 81 views, with people subscribing and leaving comments. I'm genuinely so happy with how it's going. Being part of this community has meant a lot to me

Love to see more people creating content about the Atlassian Community! One thought: - Don't just report the news; add your opinion. Why the update is important, who it affects, and a practical example/demo. That's what makes people come back.

Both short and long videos work on LinkedIn. Use short videos for quick updates and longer videos for tutorials, deep dives, or opinions. It doesn't matter what form, as long as viewers have learned something worthwhile.

Show up consistently Consistency builds an audience; value builds trust.

I would do a weekly series with cool 3rd party apps that are awesome, showcasing the features and what they do.
