Empty line with dot appears while creating defect in jira

While creating a defect in jira there is an empty line with a dot that appears as shown in the below image.

I need to remove the dot .

I have checked the create screen there is no empty fields.

You have a field description of "." on the Severity custom field.  You can change that in the custom field settings or field configuration for the issue type.
