Email to task and custom fields

Hello all,

We have a client with specific needs regarding Jira cloud. They have tasks/subtasks with special fields. They would like to have an email address specific for their project and have those custom fields be filled by some values on the subject.

For example, "Work 123 - AREA 456" should be translated to "Work 123" as task's name and "456" as the "area" custom field.

Is this possible? Also, this would only be for an specific project as others have a different structure.

Also, would it be possible to send an email template when the task is received and send other template if the subject doesn't follow the regex?

@Fernando Flórez You would need to use an app like ScriptRunner or JSU.
