After downloading the Jira app and saying yes to notifications through the app, my email notifications have stopped. Is this by design? How can I make the email notifications continue?

I saw that there was also a support case opened for this issue. I just wanted to circle back to this post and share the solution here in case other users report a similar problem in the future.
In this case it appears the lack of emails was unrelated to the use of the Jira mobile app. Ricky found that his email system appears to have had a block on messages from the email address Jira was using to send messages.
For other users that might come across this, if you're using Jira Cloud and the Jira Cloud mobile app, you can create a support case in our https://support.atlassian.com/contact page. Please use the "technical support" option, select product Jira, platform Cloud, and enter in your Jira Cloud URL in order to be routed to the proper support team. With a support case like this Atlassian Cloud support teams can at least investigate to see if email messages have been sent from Atlassian's side here or not.
