Email notification for Atlassian API/Jira or confluence changes

Hi,

If there are deprecation notices in Atlassian which I see come up in https://developer.atlassian.com/changelog/# then how can I receive email alerts for the same? I see some option called RSS feeds, how does it work with email id, without making changes in outlook. Or is there any option to choose in 'Email and privacy preferences' for the same.

Hi @Priyam_Kumar ,

The "Email and privacy preferences" in your Atlassian personal account settings won't be able to specifically toggle/flag developer change logs.

A starting point option to investigate might be looking into "RSS to Email Services", one example is Zapier.

RSS feeds such as one provided by the link on the https://developer.atlassian.com/changelog/# page will generally be "plugged into" something so that they can be polled/monitored for changes.

I hope this is a starting point for you.

Cheers.

Hi @Ben Spillane I found a way that RSS feed link can simply be added to outlook by going into account settings and those mails start getting populated in a separate folder in mailbox, without having to use third party agents, so it helps to get feed directly from Atlassian.
