Hi,

I'm just after upgrading JIRA datacentre version 8.5.3.

After the upgrade I've discovered the "Create a new issue or add a comment to an existing issue" email handler is deprecated.

This is a function heavily used in our business process to allow to handle new ticket creation or ticket comments update via email.

Currently only "Create a new issue from each email message" or "Add a comment with the entire emailbody" are available. But the function I am looking for is to allow either to create new tickets or update tickets from emails (not a split of the function that does one OR the other).

Is there any option to get tickets created or updated based on presence of a ticket refrence or not in the email subject?

Appreciate any help.
