Email Notifications

Can you tell me who gets an update email on a jira ticket?  Assignee, Reporter?  What about watchers and people tagged in the email?

We can't, no.  This is because the answer is that Jira has flexible notification schemes, which your administrators can change to suit the way you want to work.  These schemes will say things like "notify watchers and reporter and people in role X when Y happens" and can vary by project and task.

If you look at your project headers, you should be able to see the scheme associated, which should give you an idea of who is getting what and when.

So the project I am looking at uses default notification scheme.  Can you tell me what that does in terms of notifications?

I see that assignee, reporter and watchers get emails in our project.

But if you are tagged in a ticket, do you get an email or do you need to be set as a watcher?  I know that the autowatch setting is a profile setting for each user, so I am wondering if you are not authwatching, how do you get notifications?
